Dear Friends,
We would like to invite you to join us for the North East Area National Rally 2024 taking place at the Malton & Norton Rugby Club, The Gannock, Malton, YO17 7EY, which will run from Friday 24th May to Saturday 1st June.
Our chosen charity this year is The Herriot Hospice, Thirsk. This charity aims to bring the former Lambert Memorial Hospital back into use, creating a much needed centre for people living with terminal illness and bereavement, offering personalised care for patients and their families and bringing hospice care closer to home for local people. This appeal has been supported by cast members from The Yorkshire Vet T.V programme. We hope you will help us to raise as much as possible.
This year’s theme is “BOARD GAMES”, which should give you plenty of opportunity to have some fun with your fancy dress costumes – so get your thinking caps on!
We hope you will enjoy our full programme of fun activities which will include some old favourites along with some new ideas and there are loads of interesting places for you to visit in the area after the main weekend.
We will have exclusive, unlimited use of the clubhouse and as we are not running a bar you are welcome to bring your own liquid refreshments to the evening events.
Snacks will be available each evening so we would appreciate you not bringing your own food into the building.
During the week a list of events and available snacks will be displayed on a daily basis and on Sunday we will be serving a “Full English Breakfast” which needs to be ordered on your booking form.
There will be an “End of National Party Night” on Friday 31 st May with music and food for those who are able to stay.
On your arrival you will receive a National programme with details of events and times and lots of other information that you might need. A list of competition rules is attached with this letter.
You can pay in advance or when you arrive – by cash, cheque or bank transfer but we would appreciate it if you can book early so that we can plan accordingly.
Nearby you will find Castle Howard, Flamingo land and Eden Camp and within 20 miles there is York, Pickering (North York Moor Railway), Thornton Dale (Bangers & Cash), Scarborough, Filey, Hutton le hole, Rosedale Abbey and Dalby Forest. A little further but still within 30 miles is Bridlington, Hornsea, Goathland (Heartbeat country) and Robin Hoods Bay.
