|2022 – Corbridge, Northumberland|
Friday 20th May – Sunday 5th June 2022
Tynedale Rugby Club, Corbridge NE45 5AY
After two years of not being able to get together as a Club, the NDC (Northumberland, Durham and Cleveland) Area would like to invite you to join us for the 2022 National Rally, being held at Tynedale Rugby Football Club in Corbridge, Northumberland.
The theme for this year’s Club National rally is “World of Books” so get your thinking caps on for the fancy dress competitions. Our chosen Charity this year is Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care which provides transport to and from treatment for cancer patients and is expanding across the UK.
Arrangements this year will be a bit different from previous National Rallies. We’ve chosen not to use the marquee and have instead secured use of the Rugby Club Clubhouse. As such there is only a very small amount of work needed to mark out the site and erect signage at the Working Weekend.
Because of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations we’ve had to re-jig the programme and have the National weekend at the end of the time we’ll be together. We’ve planned a varied programme of events across the 16-night duration of the Rally, including four nights of live entertainment, themed nights (including cheese and wine and a games night) and a significant number of favourite National activities. As a treat from us to you, NDC is laying on Afternoon Tea during the National.
As a very small Area and especially due to Covid restrictions and the moved Bank Holiday, planning this National hasn’t been straightforward. Thank you to all members from NDC and beyond that have helped us to plan and run the Rally.
The Rugby Club has been very accommodating – it is kindly allowing us to take in our own drinks – except when we have asked for the Clubhouse bar to be open on the Middle weekend and National Evenings.
PLEASE COULD YOU BOOK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, as knowing numbers in advance helps to keeps costs down. We’ve set the fee at only £10 pupn and will take payment on arrival at the rally field. Bookings can be amended at any time by phone.
Perhaps you could bring a game that can be played indoors, such as Jenga for the games night?
Please remember you’ll need your own sanitation.
We hope you like what we’ve put together for you and look forward to seeing you in Corbridge and hope you enjoy the National Rally 2022; it’ll be so nice seeing all our friends again.
